Time Module

The Time Module is an optional plug-in data acquisition module for PRAP and ZAP. Its use requires the Basic Data Acquisition Module. The Basic Data Acquisition Module is an optional plug-in data acquisition module for PRAP while it is part of the regular ZAP package.

The Time Module allows resonance spectra to be collected into a PRAP compound document as a function of time.

The time between the collection of resonance spectra is either constance, or increases logarithmically according to the 'Log Scan' setting. Because of the potentially long time between the acquisition of resonance spectra in logarithmic scans, particularly later in the scan, it is possible to abort the scan between acquiring spectra. When the time of the next sample aproaches, the user can restart acquisition using the time module and select the 'Continue Last Scan' option. By then entering the name of the compound document file containing the earlier acquired resonance spectra, the next spectrum will then be acquired at the appropriate time and appended to the selected compound document.
